Don at the helm...

We don't need a car rig.......another day at the pool..

In this segment, we needed to do some table top product shots and set up our infamous portable sweep table, please excuse the saw horses but they work. Here the crew is hard at work.

Gary's very hands on approach.....Jose keeping his head in the game..

We had to suspend the small adapters hence the glass...Gary also had to do some old school stop motion work for one of the give away products. You need a lot of patience and time to get table top shots right!

This last shot was a day for night set-up. Actually it was closer to dusk, rather than waiting until dark, we enclosed the tent (which was outside) with black visqueen, camera and all. Overall, another successful shoot. Crew: Paul Piasecki, Anthony Angrisani, Rick Meister, Jose Flores, Gary Waxler, Peter Parcells, Christiana Schwartz.

We are gearing up for our second National CBS Sports special for the PGA of America. The special will air May 2nd on CBS 1-2pm EST. We have traveled from one end of the country to the other and places in between.

The first part of the journey took Producer Jim Gallagher and DP Todd Kolich to the Phoenix area to start filming a segment with Lynn Marriott and Pia Nilsson both highly respected PGA teaching professionals featured among top 50 list for Golf Digest Magazines' best teachers in America.

They are co-founders of Vision54, (www.vision54.com) an integrated coaching programs that increase performance and individual development for golfers, for athletes, for coaches, for business and life.

ko-Mar films a Shark!

Golf great Greg Norman "The Shark" was on hand to film a series of website & image compartments for Cybex International. Filmed at Great White Enterprises in West Palm Beach, FL.

The challenge was working in a fairly small area. We achieved a unique look with very simple building materials. Lighting the materials on certain angles created the look that the client wanted. With the help of Bob Saley our set and prop man, we achieved an industrial, sleek look with a contrasty lighting style. We also had to accommodate photographer Michael O'Bryon http://obryon.com as we simultaneously shot for still and HD video. On the right we see Gaffer Dan Taylor setting up a Source 4 Leko light.

We used various frame rates to give us some cool slow-motion shots of Greg on the Cybex equipment. Camera used was our Sony F-800 XDCAM. Overall another great shoot! Crew: Jim Gallagher, Audra Roby, Paul Piasecki, Anthony Angrisani, Dan Taylor, Jose Flores, Bob Saley.

The Wonder of the Pancake Light!

Here is a set-up for a Golf Digest Digital shoot. The client wanted the "Charlie Rose Show" look and that's what we did. We started with the old ballroom set-up. You can never have enough room but we always make it work. We set up a 20' speedrail with our Pancake 1K light and 2 Arri 300's for backlights.

Here it is...the Chimera Pancake or China Globe light. This gives you an overall soft, omni directional key light source. The spill is controlled by a skirt that attaches to the sides and can be adjusted like so. This was an Arri 1K open-face, flooded out all the way.

Here we armed out a Arri 300WT for a backlight. We did this on the opposite side, hung a back light for our moderator with a maffer clamp on the ceiling trim.

So here is the cast for our round table discussion with the 4 top golf instructors on the planet. We have Butch Harmon (www.butchharmon.com) Jim Mclean (www.jimmclean.com) David Leadbetter (www.leadbetter.com) and Hank Haney (www.hankhaney.com) again our Moderator is Senior Editor at Golf Digest, Peter Morrice.

After fussing with mic's and make-up and a little direction from Mr. Gallagher, we were ready for an engaging discussion on Golf's biggest players. We had a switched 3 camera shoot, hung up some black duvateen to hide the walls and away we went. Crew: Jim Gallagher, Chris DeMaio, Todd Kolich, Paul Piasecki, Anthony Angrisani, Gunner Garrity and Terri Irwin. Big wigs were Jerry Tarde, John Marvel and Marty Hackel. Look for it soon on Golf Digest Digital on www.golfdigest.com.
